Window Tinting and Energy Savings

Solar Control Window Film is a micro-thin layer of polyester film combined with minute particles of metal, coated with a durable, optically-clear, scratch-resistant coating. It is professionally installed as a retrofit product on clear or tinted glass.  Most solar control window films are 2mil (0.0002”) thick.

HOW DOES WINDOW TINTING WORK?

The sun’s rays come to earth in wavelengths.  These wavelengths range from infrared to visible light to ultra violet.  Solar control window film specifically targets infrared (heat causing rays) and UV rays, protecting your home or building while still allowing visible light to pass through the window.  Eclipse Window Tinting uses only the highest quality films to improve the comfort of occupants without hindering the view.  Window film also blocks a small portion of visible light, reducing glare and actually improving the view to the outside.
